A Smile that Loved a Smile and a Frown that Loved a Frown A smile showed his smile To another smile. And she smiled back. They embraced each other And held each other tight. Safe from all harm. But the power of time Was enough to break them apart. Farewell they said to each other. And before they finally parted, He whispered something in her ear: “One day, we’ll see each other again. I will feel better knowing That tomorrow is one day less than today, And one day more till I see you.” A smile that loved a smile. But time formed an alliance. Distance joined the fray. Together, they turned her smile upside down. Though his smile stayed strong. And he continued to smile, Hoping to change her back. Yet time and distance prevail. A smile that loved a frown. And time worked its magic once again. His smile resolved to being a frown. “A smile cannot love a frown, Nor a frown to a smile.” So he frowned to love her.” Just as a little note, I usually write because of whats happening in my life. This phase that this poem described died. - Akaryu . |
